2014年6月11日，东方文化遗址保护联盟资助在法国巴黎国家艺术历史研究院举行的尼泊尔艺术和遗产研讨会
2014年6月11日，尼泊尔艺术和遗产研讨会在法国巴黎国家艺术历史研究院举行（Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art ）。为期一天的研讨会由联合研究机构—建筑城市规划协会 —学术教育研究(L'UMR-AUSser), 美丽城法国国家高等建筑学院-巴黎建筑和城市规划研究院(l'IPRAUS)，巴黎—索邦远东研究中心（CREOPS）和尼泊尔文化中心共同举办。研讨会获得了尼泊尔驻法国大使馆、尼泊尔常驻联合国教科文组织代表、联合国教科文组织世界遗产中心和东方文化遗址保护联盟（OCHSPA）的大力支持。这次研讨会是尼泊尔的官员和学者第一次与法国的专家学者进行交流，集合了法国五个研究机构的多位高水平专家，共二十余位专家学者做了演讲或者参与讨论。
研讨会由尼泊尔传统的点燃sukunda神灯仪式开始。仪式后由索邦大学教授雷诺（Edith Parlier Renault）先生、尼泊尔大使史荷塔（S.E.Mohan Krishna Shrestha）先生、美丽城法国国家高等建筑学院院长布鲁阿（François Brouat）先生、东方文化遗址保护联盟主席马修（Etienne Mathieu）先生，国家科学研究中心主任郎可埃（Nathalie Lancret）女士、联合国教科文组织世界遗产中心主任林志宏先生和索邦大学教授古涅（Antoine Gournay）女士分别致开幕词，并由尼泊尔地方考古部门主任达尔（Bhesh Narayan Dahal）先生作了题为《尼泊尔文化遗产的保存与保护》的开幕演讲。
研讨会按遗产地区由四个主题组成，分别为：帕苏帕蒂那—加德满都山谷（Pashupatinath）、 罗马丹—莫斯坦地区（Lo Manthang）、帕坦—加德满都山谷（Patan）和蓝毗尼—台拉河流域（Lumbini）。
在上午进行的第一个主题世界遗产地帕苏帕蒂那寺的讨论中，帕苏帕蒂那区域发展中心主任阿查亚（Kosh Prasad Acharya）先生对于世界遗产加德满都山谷七处遗产地之一的帕苏帕蒂那印度教寺庙的发展规划做了详尽的解读，他指出帕苏帕蒂那寺庙地区未来发展需要协调好遗产保护和发展的关系；巴黎四大教授拉德莱西（Karine Ladrech）女士是印度教造像专家，演讲介绍了尼泊尔陪胪神造像的研究。
第二个主题为申报中的准世界遗产罗马丹的讨论。夏邦干（Neel Kamal Chapagain）博士作为其申遗文本筹备者之一指出：罗马丹在1992年开放旅游以来承受着旅游和保护、地区基础设施建设与保护的多重矛盾。罗马丹封闭的城墙“打开”后所带来的变化需要在尼泊尔社会、经济、文化和国家政策的语境中探讨并制定应对措施；美丽城法国国立高等建筑学院的研究者吉塔穆哈（Maie Kitamura）女士也指出：在罗马丹发展的同时要注重文化语境的保护，充分考虑到城中居民的利益和生活状态。
下午开始的第三个主题为坦帕古城遗产的讨论。加德满都山谷保护信托基金主任汗吉卡（Rohit Ranjitka）先生提出在保护古城世界遗产的同时，许多没列入世界遗产的历史建筑物和有价值的自然景观应受到应有的重视，比如11世纪建造的Itumbaha僧院；随后索邦远东研究中心博士安多法托（David Andolfatto）先生 介绍了他对于Itumbaha僧院里雕刻在木柱上的神造像研究；索邦远东研究中心研究者吉哈米（Anne-Claire Juramie）女士介绍了加德满都皇家寺院的造像特点的研究。
第四个主题是世界遗产地蓝毗尼佛陀诞生地遗产。先由蓝毗尼发展委员会联络主任亥（Gyanin Rai）先生介绍了蓝毗尼的遗产和旅游价值；而后高等应用科学研究院贝夫泰勒（Katia Buffetrille）女士介绍了位于加德满都附近、世界第一大佛塔博德纳佛塔（Bodnath）的变迁研究；最后，联合国教科文组织世界遗产中心主任林志宏先生演讲介绍了近年来联合国教科文组织协助尼泊尔政府建立蓝毗尼保护管理规划，协助调整遗产界限、缓冲区，以及在东方文化遗址保护联盟支持下的“蓝毗尼环境影响研究项目”和新书《蓝毗尼圣园研究—对佛陀诞生地的感知》等等。林先生着重提到蓝毗尼是活着的文化景观，不仅要考虑到考古遗址的保护，更应重视与佛祖诞生地相关联的“大蓝毗尼地区”的可持续发展。
四个主题结束后，法、尼专家进行了有关尼泊尔艺术和文化遗产的圆桌讨论。大会在传统尼泊尔舞蹈中圆满结束。
此次研讨会是法国、尼泊尔的专家学者之间的高水平交流，可以看出遗产的社会—经济价值、遗产的真实性问题、非物质文化遗产的保护以及遗产的保护和可持续性发展之间的关系是讨论的重点，这些要点的讨论对于今后尼泊尔艺术和文化遗产乃至世界遗产的发展都具有重要意义。
